Orchids for Mother's Day? How Do I Care for Them?

Jan Channon on 31st Jul 2014

Do you always receive an Orchid plant for Mother's Day?

And do you have a tough time caring for them?

Moms are always perceived to want something practical and long lasting for Mother's Day...can't we ever get a gift that doesn't need to be cared for?

Well, your cares are over! Simply put three ice cubes at the base of your plant once per week and that is all the care your Orchid plant will need. Much easier than caring for the kids!

When the blooms finally begin to die off, snip the stem right above a nodule, keep those ice cubes coming and surprise!! Your plant will one day bloom again.

If you are tired of caring for the dog, the kids, and all the others in your life...don't feel badly about throwing the Orchid plant out! You will eventually receive another one day.

Happy Mother's Day
